While we do not offer email hosting, we can help you setup email hosting using third party providers. For most clients, we recommend using Google’s email hosting services. For many of our clients, this will cost nothing, $0, nada! Others might choose to upgrade to Google’s paid plan, which is still very affordable.

FAQ:
Q: Boston Logic provides the best real estate websites in the world. Why don’t you provide email hosting? It just seems like you would. Also, I’d love to not have to deal with another provider. So, what’s the deal?
A: Email hosting has become a commodity. The only companies that make money either provide email to VERY large numbers of subscribers (think Yahoo, Google, Hotmail) or provide highly specialized (and expensive) enterprise email services. Since Google gives away excellent email hosting for free, we simply suggest that our clients use their system.
Q: Can you setup my Google email hosting for my company?
A: Yes, we’d be happy to setup Google email hosting for you and your office. We can do this for a 1-time fee of $250 for an office of up to 20 agents, or $500 fee for larger offices. This includes setting up users, transferring your domain name to Google email, and setting you up with instructions to configure your mail settings.
Q: Is my email safe with Google?
A: Yes. While we can’t be responsible for Google’s email hosting, we do believe it is a safe and cost-effective choice. For more information, visit Google’s Security and Privacy page.
Q: Are there any other benefits of using Google to host my email?
A: Yes! I’m glad you asked. Along with Google email, you can use Google Apps. We use these at Boston Logic every day. So, we can tell you that they’re useful, mostly free, and very helpful. Most attractive to many of our clients is common calendaring (much like the functionality of Microsoft Outlook).
Q: How do I switch my company’s email to Google Mail?
Q: What else do I have to do to make this work? Do I have to edit my DNS? What is DNS anyways?
A: DNS stands for Domain Name Servers. Basically, the internet is a just bunch of computers all sending information to each other. DNS servers tell information how to find the right computer. So, when you sign up for a website with Boston Logic, you’ll need to point your DNS servers to our Sequoia platform.
Q: Now that my email is set up with Google hosting, how do I configure my email with other programs and my mobile device?
A: If you are using IMAP settings for email, click here to find the device you are trying to configure. If you are using POP settings for email, click here to find the device you are trying to configure.
Next, follow these instructions to point your DNS servers to the sequoia platform.
Log into the site where you purchased your website (ex. GoDaddy, Network Solutions, etc.)
Access your Domain Manager to make any changes to your domain name.
Verify your domain name with Google. There are several ways to do this – select the link to retrieve instructions on domain verification.
When you are ready to transfer your email over to Google Email, update your MX Records. These records are found under “Activate Email.” Click here for more instructions and step-by-step instructions for a list of domain hosts.
Email hosting changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate all data.
